Our Process
We offer full-service sessions that can combine style genres. Whether you need maternity or branding portraits or want to bring a partner for a couple’s portrait, you can customize your photoshoot.
Each session is designed to fit you.
-
Design Consultation
Once you secure your date and time, we plan your session, discussing vision, wardrobe, and styling. We go over the entire process and answer any questions you may have.
-
Pro Hair & Makeup
If you choose to have pro-hair & makeup services, our experienced artist will listen carefully to your vision and create the look and style you want for your portrait session.
-
The Photoshoot
The day is here, and all you have to do is show up. At this time, pro-hair & makeup, posing, expression guidance, and wardrobe will be tended to as planned.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
-
Send us a contact form if you’re interested in booking a session at our studio, located in Northwest Austin. We only offer weekday appointments with very few weekend dates available which require full payment and a minimum spend to insure these slots are not subject to cancellation.
-
Maternity sessions are recommended between 28 and 34 weeks. The sooner you book, the better chance of insuring a date and time as these appointments are rarely rescheduled. If your schedule does not allow for this time frame, we can work with you to find an alternative.
-
Being a professional in the industry, I can tell you that non-photogenic does not exist. What does exist is incorrect posing, unflattering angles, and tension showing all over someone’s face and body. Our sessions are fully art-directed with guided posing, and a set technique is followed with each client to help create a calm composure, relaxed mind, and genuine expression.
-
Along with your session, we schedule a pre-consultation to fully discuss your photoshoot, and answer any questions you have. We have an open communication policy in our studio and enter the experience with our client in mind. When you book a session, it means––it’s your date, time, and your styling preferences. We aim to set you at ease.
-
Sometimes a client wants a partner or their child to be in some of the photos. Our biggest goal is to create a stunning portrait, therefore, we have preparation suggestions in each case that can be discussed further. Aside from styling details, we ask that if you are bringing someone for moral support that they not photograph or record any part of your session. Thank you for understanding the process.
-
Our industry does not have a term that defines the way that our studio captures a woman’s sensuality. Boudoir tends to be the popular term to express photos of such variety, however, our work takes an elevated approach in representing the body as art, and never showing sexual elements. If you are looking for something more revealing, it would be in your best interest to book elsewhere as we have certain limitations in this area.
-
We photograph maternity and new moms with their babies or little ones, but we are not a newborn photography studio. Once your baby can hold their head up confidently, preferably after at least four months of age, we can offer a motherhood session together with mom and baby or toddler. We also do Generation Sessions incorporating grandmothers, and we offer children’s portraiture.
-
During our pre-consultation, we will ask you a series of questions regarding our editing process in order to ensure that you love your final images. Therefore, our communication before your photoshoot is extremely important and cannot be discussed by personal assistants, secretaries, or anyone other than you as the one being photographed. We take a moment to cover a variety of details about how you want to be presented in your portraits.
-
We retain all rights to the images created during your photo sessions. This protects you and protects us. We have sold the rights to clients in the past, and can discuss selling you the copyright if you are interested. Otherwise, all images are intended for personal use, on your website, and in social media. They are not permitted for use in contests for profit or to be reproduced or sold for profit in any way.
-
We take privacy seriously and take various measures to secure our client’s trust.
• Editing / All editing is done in-house and never outsourced–meaning that the images do not get sent to a third party for retouching which can leave them vulnerable to theft or mishandling.
• Sharing / We never share client photos without proper permission to do so. In the case of clients that grant us permission to use them on our website and marketing, the images are never used in combination with real names, and they are never tagged on any social media unless we have been asked or permitted to do so.
