The simplicity of offering black and white portraits is invaluable to me as a photographic artist, as a creative director, and as an educator. I am able to focus more on texture, shape, and form to reveal elements that would not be appreciated otherwise. With the absence of color, our eye finds a new journey. The reverse is also true which is what makes photography a powerful medium.
